We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful Office Manager to join our rapidly growing startup. As we develop cutting-edge products for our thermochemical energy storage systems in our engineering and research facilities, we need someone who can keep our team and our day-to-day operations running smoothly and efficiently. The Office Manager will be expected to articulate OKRs for the position and demonstrate the ability to achieve metrics-oriented results. The position is located in RedoxBlox’s San Diego headquarter offices.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring a productive work environment for our engineering and research teams
- Manage facilities, including assisting with maintenance, security, and safety protocols for our specialized equipment and laboratories
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for office and research equipment, negotiating contracts and managing relationships
- Implement and maintain efficient administrative systems and procedures
- Assist with onboarding new employees, including coordinating IT setup and access to necessary resources
- Organize and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for team members
- Manage office budget, track expenses, and process invoices
- Coordinate company events, team-building activities, and offsites
- Act as a liaison between different departments, facilitating communication and collaboration
- Support the leadership team with various administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related fields
- 3+ years of experience in office management, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with project management tools
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and budget management
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Experience in a technical or engineering environment is a plus
